This is Misha, a fabulous black cat with amazing yellow eyes. This was a joy to paint. All those beautiful colours in his coat and those warm yellows and golds behind him too, with hints of turquoise and pink.

The background is inspired by the room the painting will hang in. I took those colours and created an abstract backdrop for Misha. But still the most powerful part of the painting are his eyes and that amazing expression. :-) Here’s a close up of the canvas.
